Instructions
- Prepare the Blackberry Layer:
- In a small bowl, mash fresh or thawed blackberries with a fork, or pulse them briefly in a blender.
- If desired, mix in a tablespoon of sugar for sweetness. Set aside for layering.
- Blend the Strawberry Base:
- Combine the milk, frozen strawberries, vanilla yogurt (if using), sugar, vanilla extract, and ice in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Assemble the Drink:
- In a tall glass, spoon a layer of the mashed blackberry mixture into the bottom.
- Pour half of the strawberry frappe mixture over the blackberry layer.
- Add another layer of mashed blackberries in the middle.
- Top with the remaining strawberry frappe mixture, leaving some space for toppings.
- Add the Finishing Touches:
- Swirl whipped cream generously on top.
- Drizzle raspberry syrup over the whipped cream.
- Sprinkle red sugar crystals or festive sprinkles for decoration.
Notes
- Raspberry Syrup: If you don’t have store-bought raspberry syrup, make your own by simmering 1/2 cup raspberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup water until thickened. Strain out the seeds and let it cool before using.
