Prepare the Glass:
For an extra festive touch, rim the glass with sugar by dipping the rim in lime juice and then in granulated sugar.
Mix the Drink:
In a shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka (or omit for mocktail), cherry liqueur or grenadine, cranberry juice, and lime juice. Shake well.
Pour:
Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
Add Fizz:
Top with sparkling water or club soda for the cocktail, or lemon-lime soda for the mocktail.
Garnish:
