- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)
- 1/4 cup hot sauce (like Sriracha or your favorite)
- 2 tablespoons honey
For the Bowls:
- 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or quinoa)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the Turkey:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
- Season the Turkey:
- Stir in onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, hot sauce, and honey. Mix well and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
- Prepare the Bowls:
- In serving bowls, add cooked rice as the base.
- Top with a generous amount of the hot-honey turkey mixture.
- Add Fresh Toppings:
- Top each bowl with cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, avocado slices, and green onions.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley and squeeze lime juice over the top before serving.
