Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Pasta Sauce is a flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts seasoned with Cajun spices, served over pasta and enveloped in a rich, creamy Parmesan sauce. Perfect for a comforting dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Chicken:
    1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce:
    1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    2. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine:
    1. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet with the creamy Parmesan sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta, mixing well to coat everything evenly.
  5. Serve:
    1. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding vegetables such as spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or mushrooms to the sauce.
  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning for your desired spice level.
